Arjun Ranade

MD, Founder and CEO

Always having a passion for entrepreneurship and medicine, Arjun chose to attend Chicago Medical School and pursue the field of interventional radiology. After spending years in clinical training, he was not only able to get first hand experience in delivering quality patient care but also learn about the medical field as a whole. Most importantly, this experience led him to discover the many hindrances and deficiencies in today’s healthcare system in regards to patient access to healthcare, patient education and the impact of rising healthcare costs. With MDC, his vision is to improve and standardize patient education and limit readmission rates by truly empowering patients to feel comfortable and take charge of their own health.

Jeff Wang

MD, Co-Founder & COO

With a major in Science-Business from Notre Dame and a medical degree from Chicago Medical School, Jeff saw a perfect opportunity to bridge his experiences into the medical startup world with MDC. Through his residency at University of Michigan Hospital, Jeff has taken care of countless patients discharged from the hospital with medical drains lacking accessible resources and adequate monitoring at home. Jeff and his co-founders at MDC aim to bring a software driven platform to the medical drain world to ease emotional burden for patients, improve productivity of physicians, and reduce costs for hospitals.  Molded by immigrant parents who came to America and opened up their own small business, Jeff is excited about bringing his strong work ethic, insights and passion into the medical start up world through MDC.

Harrison Nguyen

DO/MBA, Co-Founder and CFO

Harrison brings a holistic medical approach and business perspective to MDC. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University while simultaneously earning his MBA from Rockhurst University. Throughout his diagnostic radiology training, he experienced the communication barriers between providers and patients when it came to drain care and management. These barriers created both physical and emotional problems for patients and their family members. He and his co-founders at MDC aim to create a one-stop-shop for drain care allowing easier routes of communication for the patient and their care team in addition to a robust online drain management website. He is excited to see how MDC will improve both patient care and the patient experience.
